The Alpha Ministry recently released this 10-part course, Parenting Teens (Ages 11 to 18), which features each week about 30 minutes of teaching (via DVD) and about 15 minutes of discussion in small groups.  No-one is asked to disclose any information about one’s home life or parenting that they do not wish to.  The course is for any parent or guardian of teens, whether they consider themselves to have strong parenting skills or are struggling, and whether they already have or soon will have teens, are a single parent, or a step-parent. Guests can come alone or as a couple.  The practical tools of the course are applicable to everyone who has responsibility for teenagers.  Familiarity or agreement with the Christian faith is not necessary.  All are welcome.  Invite your friends.  Begins April 1 (Palm Sunday).  No class on Easter Sunday.  Ends on June 17.  You can register for the course in class, or online.  Class materials fee (sugg.don.) $25-30 for both textbook and workbook.  If you already have the Parenting Course textbook, the fee is only $10 (sugg.don.) for the Parenting Teens workbook.

Course Dates: Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  April 1 through June 17, 2012

Location: This class typically follows after the Sunday morning worship service which we hold at School of the Holy Child, 2225 Westchester Ave., Rye, NY 10580.  At the school this class will be held in Room 218.
