College Ministries
Our college ministry is to help students in Westchester, as well as high school graduates who are studying elsewhere. The purpose of our college ministry is to help students grow in discipleship, fellowship, and help them to transition into life after college. The following are our regular weekly and yearly events:
SUNY Purchase Bible Study: Wednesday Afternoons 1 p.m. at “The Hub” at SUNY Purchase Campus
We are currently studying the book of Mark with our series titled “Got Mark?” We are studying the book “manuscript style” where we look at the text without chapter or verse numbers and titles. This helps students view the scripture in a fresh, new way that helps the story of Jesus come alive! It is also not as intimidating for those who have little to know experience studying the bible.
Winter Break Service Project: Early January, each year
Our winter service project is for local students on winter break, or high school group graduates returning from studying elsewhere. We usually find a need in our community that we can help out in a practical way. Last year, we painted church offices down in Harlem. It is a great way for students to reunite for the holidays, and accomplish something positive for the community!
Summer College Fellowship Tuesday Nights in July & August
Our Summer College Fellowship is a great “reunion” for students each summer. It also is a great way for the college community at Trinity to grow in faith and fellowship. Last summer, we went through a series titled: “Serving JC in a Culture of ‘Me.’” We learned how to learn to discern the message of the gospel, and how it relates to the message of “Me” that we hear from our culture.
